The PFPE TORPEDO fuel pressure emulator was designed for cars that, when running on gas, signal irregularities (DTC) related to the lack of fuel consumption from the fuel rail.
When the engine is powered by gas, due to the lack of fuel reception from the fuel rail, the gasoline pressure increases above the rated value, as a result of which the gasoline computer shortens the injection times and/or reports a fault.
In the PFPE TORPEDO emulator, using the rpm map, it is possible to precisely set the same pressure when driving on gas as when driving on petrol - effectively eliminating the possibility of errors caused by increased petrol pressure.
Additionally, we can set the variability of this pressure in such a way that the gasoline controller cannot distinguish the fuel pressure emulation signal from the real signal. The emulator is suitable for all types of cars with one fuel pressure sensor on the petrol rail with variable PWM pump control and without variable PWM pump control.
The PFPE TORPEDO v 2.0 fuel pressure emulator is calibrated directly from the Optima 2.07 or newer application. To connect to the emulator, you can use any interface compatible with OPTIMA controllers, e.g. ALEX BTor ALEX OPTO interfaces.
